August Magazines Out Now!

Our August magazines are being distributed today.  Each magazine (SE21, SE22 & SE23) is available to read as a flipzine on the right of this page.  Please do free free to share them with your friends and family. We know more and more businesses have now either opened or given the go-ahead to open, which is great news for the area.  The #eatouttohelpout scheme goes live on Monday 3 August and we have details of who is taking part in the area.  Click here. July Magazines Out Today!

Local charity Link Age Southwark has launched a brand new project with the aim of bringing colour and nature back to the lives of older people in Southwark, but they need your help to make it happen.  You can read all about the Bloomin’ Lovely campaign in each magazine . Suzanne James is back with a wonderful recipe.  Janine Winlaw is back with her gardening tips.  Leanne Spencer talks about how the lockdown has changed her exercise routine.  Becca Teer is back with a very relevant article including Mindset Tips for Coping with Change. Local photographer Julia Hamilton took to the streets of East Dulwich to photograph our High Street Heroes last month; look out for part two. Flash Fiction Competition

Getting Creative Can you write a short compelling story with a maximum of 400 words? Now’s your chance to find the writer within you! The Festival Flash Fiction Competition is open to entries from adults and children alike, the story can be about anything you choose. The deadline for entries is 5 to midnight on Friday 15th May. Prizes The Dulwich Festival will award the following prizes: 1st prize £200, 2nd prize £100, 3rd prize £50, Highly Commended will be identified at the discretion of the judges. You may normally get one of our magazines through your door. Unfortunately as our April issues have been delayed and won’t be out until next week, we decided to go digital only for May.
