Step outside and let nature back into your life this Spring!

With the date set for Sunday 1 May 2022 at Cudham Recreation Ground, St Christopher’s are hoping that you’ll be able to join them for an inspiring day wandering between beautiful bluebells, ancient trees, rare birds and other such surprise hidden gems of the natural world!

For the first time ever, they’ve also invited a handful of expert tour guides who will be ready and waiting along the way to share fun facts about the flora and fauna native to the surrounding area. Inspired by the acclaim of recent shows like David Attenborough’s Green Planet, walkers will be introduced to a myriad of plants and wildlife throughout the day, and taught how we can all help to protect and preserve our beautiful countryside – as well as hearing about the many physical and mental health benefits that are to be gained from spending time in nature.

As always, the Bluebell Walk is welcoming and accessible to all, with the standard four-mile route being specially designed with families in mind – but if you’re up for a bigger challenge, the brand new eight-mile route will be making its debut this year, and is really set to test your endurance!

Whether you’re keen for a challenge or simply wish to spend some relaxed, quality time with family and friends, it’s time to dig out your walking boots and stroll on down for what St Christopher’s promises will be a fun, educational and feelgood event whatever the weather.

Whichever route you decide to go for, hospice volunteers will be waiting for you back at Cudham with a wide array of delicious home-made refreshments and family-friendly entertainment for children and adults alike – including an extra-special bluebell art installation, so make sure you bring your cameras along!

Spaces are strictly limited in respect for the natural environment, so don’t delay and sign up today – you can secure your place(s) at www.stchristophers.org.uk/bluebellwalk

Unlike in the past, St Christopher’s are not asking for sponsorship this time, and have instead priced tickets at £25 for a single person, £40 for two people, or £50 for up to five people*.

If anybody still wants to raise additional funds for the hospice, especially those taking on the eight-miler, then you can request to receive a fundraising pack at the same time as signing up. St Christopher’s are incredibly grateful for all the support they receive, and any money raised through sponsorship will enable them to be there for people in our shared communities whenever they need us most.

*All fees will be fully refundable, should the event need to be postponed or cancelled for any reason.
