Becca and Katie are two local mums who lived in the same building for years and effectively raised their children together.

Around Dulwich found out more:

When Covid-19 hit we felt, like many others, that we needed to pull together and consider the most vulnerable people locally. I put an ad on facebook asking if anyone needed support with shopping etc and I was contacted by someone’s daughter concerned for her mother. So I started weekly shopping for her and then some of the other residents and it became clear it was difficult for them to access fresh fruit and veg.  Simultaneously we were hearing that a number of the large fruit and veg companies had been unreliable; cancelling loyal customers as they struggled to cope with the changing climate.  So we decided we wanted to deliver fruit and veg locally and as part of any order we will donate to keyworkers and other vulnerable people in the community.  This week we were able to delivery  complimentary boxes to a nurse, a midwife and an older vulnerable family locally- which made our heart Joy-full 😉

We’re complete novices when it comes to social media etc but we headed in the early hours to New Covent Garden Market a few weeks ago and selected our suppliers and now have an Eventbrite page for secure ordering- check it our for more information – and even Facebook and on Instagram @JoyFullLondon.

We have had fantastic feedback on our boxes and we’ve listened to feedback and modified them to offer three sizes to cater for household needs and we delivery within 3 miles of East Dulwich every Saturday.
