You may remember Jill Orr from last year when she set up the wonderful fundraising page supporting the staff at Kings College Hospital. Our NHS is now under more pressure due to the rise in Covid-19 cases, so Jill is fundraising again. Here is a snippet from Jill:

“Over the weekend, we exceeded £10,000 in funds raised for the wellbeing hubs at Kings College Hospital. And over 275 of you have donated since we kick started fund raising again. Amazing! For those of you who have asked about our target – we would like to raise as much as is possible so we can expand our support of the staff at Kings, but we recognise that times are hard. Your generosity is allowing us to expand our offering already – here is what is happening this week:

– Fresh fruit is being delivered every Wednesday from the team at Smith and Brock
– Doughnuts are being delivered twice this week from Ayres Bakery
Bradley Foods – who work with Ayres Bakery – have gifted some snacks for the wellbeing hub – first delivery arrives this week.
Suzanne James Catering and Vits and Kicks are supplying fresh immune boosting juices and smoothies to the staff in the critical care units from Tuesday. We have organised to have these delivered twice a week for the time being.

The baked items as well as the fruit are a great treat for ALL staff so we will continue to expand the offering out in terms of suppliers and total volumes based on what we can afford. We are currently planning our support over 6-8 weeks. There is also some interest in wellbeing support for the staff and we are coordinating with Kings to understand how we can help contribute to this. As always, our ambition is to support as many staff as possible, we work closely with the staff at Kings who run the hubs to align with the hospital needs and we focus on local business so we can support them during this difficult time.”

There are a number of ways you can help this fantastic cause. You can donate via the fundraising page. Or perhaps you can donate or partner with Jill? Please do get in touch via social media channels or directly via All your ideas and support is really appreciated.
