The pandemic has revealed the pain and damage of isolation and loneliness across our community, not just amongst older people but for younger people too.

That’s why we need your support. Be part of the solution and join South London Cares on 5th or 6th December to take on our remote 5km Santa Run 🎅🤶💨

Merrily run, walk or dash around your favourite park in your festive outfit – we’ll even send you a South London Cares t-shirt and special Santa hat to make sure you look extra festive!

And most importantly, by taking part you’ll be helping to raise those all-important funds to keep older and younger neighbours connected during the cold winter months

How to get involved

❶ Sign up: To take part complete the form and we’ll send you across all the details you need to get dash-ing.

❷ Choose your route: There are some stunning 5km runs around in south London. You can either plan your own or use our recommended circuits around Brockwell Park and Clapham Common  When taking part, please follow the most current government guidelines on social distancing.

❸ Set up a fundraising page with Just Giving here or ask for Paypal or Monzo donations from friends and family to raise those all important funds. We suggest a £100 target to aim for.

❹ Get dressed and get running: We will send you a South London Cares T-shirt, Santa hat and pin badge to get you feeling festive on the day. Make sure to to take a picture!

Finally, after all your hard work, indulge in a festive mulled wine or hot chocolate! 🍷☕

Your fundraising really will make a difference. £100 could help fund a Virtual Social Club, from virtual dances to quizzes, keeping our neighbours active and connected during the winter months.

You only have until Friday 30th November to sign up. And when you do, you’ll receive your special Santa Run pack and exclusive enamel pin badge. We can’t wait to see your Santa selfies 🤶🎅
