Sydenham High’s 130th birthday celebrations continue this week with the launch of this year’s D’Art creative exhibition.

Showcasing the very best of the school’s talented artists and designers, the acclaimed annual school exhibition will feature A level and GCSE exam pieces as well as work from Year 3 at Junior School.

Praised by the Managing Director of Conran and Partners for demonstrating exceptional creativity and originality, the annual show features artworks in a variety of media plus many 3D pieces that would not look out of place in a West End design store.

The show will be officially opened by new Headmistress Mrs Katharine Woodcock and this year’s guest of honour: Rachel D’Cruze, Managing Director of Sydenham Arts, on Monday 22 May at a Private View evening for students, parents, staff and specially invited guests. It will then play host to creative workshop sessions for students and exam moderation till Thursday 25 May.

Sydenham High has been a patron of Sydenham Arts since 2015 and the school has already collaborated with them on a number of projects, the latest being the Sydenham:Lens photographic exhibition and competition in February.

The show will be open to the public on Wednesday 24 May from 4-6.30pm in the Longton Hall Gallery, Sydenham High Senior School, 19 Westwood Hill, SE26 6BL. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
