Liminal In between two spaces

We are pleased to announce a new exhibition, Liminal: In Between Two Spaces, by Natalya Best-Forbes at Platform1, East Dulwich. The private view will take place on Monday 25th January 2016 and the exhibition will continue until Saturday 30th January 2016.

The exhibition will feature twelve pieces by Natalya. All the pieces are photographs of the stratosphere. Despite the continual theme, each piece captures a completely different view; therefore, no two pieces are the same. Thus, the collection as a whole illustrates the ever changing, yet constant beauty of our sky.

Natalya Best-Forbes is a young, local artist, born and raised in South East London, and this will be her debut exhibition. She is a history graduate with a passion for photography and has been collecting cameras for over a decade. She has always been inspired by travel and these incredible images are a must-see. The photographs featured in this exhibition are un-edited and, for her, this exhibition highlights the phenomenal changes in landscape that can occur in a matter of seconds. These dramatic changes are the result of subtle differences in light, weather, height and angle.  The state of travelling between land and sky, and from country to country is where she drew the inspiration for the title of the exhibition ‘Liminal’’.

Platform1, where this exhibition will be held, was recently awarded number 8 in ‘The Times Coolest Restaurants’. So come support a local restaurant and a local artist by visiting the exhibition.

The Private View is on 25th January from 6pm-10pm. The exhibition continues until 30th January.
