Local card retailer Postmark (North Cross Road) are giving away free cards as part of a new campaign to encourage more people to write to each other and spread the feel good factor receiving a random card from a friend or family member can bring.
Owner Mark Janson-Smith explains why: ” Imagine how amazing it would feel to come home tonight and find a card waiting for you. No birthday, no thank you – just because. We think it would feel pretty good so we decided to do something non-commercial to encourage more people to do just this and send a card to that person they’re thinking of – for absolutely free”
Starting on Friday October 28th Feel Good Friday, which will run on the last Friday of every month at all three Postmark stores (Balham, Dulwich, Chiswick), customers are being invited to come instore choose a free card from the special Feel Good Friday selection and have it posted (2nd class) to anywhere in the UK for absolutely free.
The catch? It must be ‘just because’ so outside of normal sending occasions, a totally random card of friendliness to make someone’s day.
‘As a card retailer people might think it’s slightly strange that we’re giving away cards but we really believe in the power of the written word to make someone shine. We’re all used to getting a card on special occasions but to get one totally out of the blue for no other reason than ‘just because’ can really give you a huge boost so we wanted to do something to spread that feeling by encouraging more people to write to one another throughout the year. It costs nothing to get involved so come along on the 28th and send a card to that person you’ve been thinking of.”
The first Feel Good Friday takes place on Friday October 28th at Postmark. For more information and updates see instore or follow us online on Twitter, Instagram, Pintrest and Facebook @postmarkonline #feelgoodfriday
