A Sydenham company which imports an exclusive range of handmade tiles from Spain has added a former ‘Dragon’ to its list of admirers.
Alhambra Tiles Ltd has been presented with a Small Business Sunday Award from former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis. Mr Paphitis, who appeared on the hit BBC TV show from 2005 to 2012, runs the awards, which aim to support small businesses.
Alhambra was chosen out of thousands of firms who applied, and received the award at the ICC in Birmingham last Friday 3 Feb. The company sources a range of handmade tiles, marble and terracotta, offering bespoke designs as standard. Founded in 2009 by Rebecca Leathlean, Alhambra has supplied prestigious clients such as Mary Portas and Levi Roots, and collaborated with top interior designers including local Forest Hill design duo, Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead, aka 2 Lovely Gays. Jordan featured in The Great Interior Design Challenge, BBC2.
Rebecca says: “It was an absolute honour to receive the award from Theo. The Alhambra team has worked hard to perfect our offering. We work exclusively with Spanish manufacturers because their tiles are the best, and we are adding more unique products to our collection all the time.”
