After a successful VIP launch last week, the East Dulwich Picturehouse officially opened today!
The Cinema is equipped with state of the art digital projection and sound technology, with comfortable seating and ample legroom. There are 3 Screens totalling a capacity of 244 seats: Screen 1 – 105 seats, Screen 2 – 86 seats and Screen 3 – 53 seats, with extra seating for the disabled. There is also a café/bar serving good quality adult and children’s victuals from a menu created by an experienced chef, with beverages of equal standards, serving espresso drinks of fine Fairtrade coffee and an array of quality wines and boutique beers.
East Dulwich Picturehouse & Café will be exhibiting an eclectic and diverse programme of films, including the best of Mainstream, as well as British Independent, World Cinema, Documentaries and Arthouse films. There will also be the Picturehouse Screen Arts programme, which includes gems from the ‘National Theatre’, ‘Met Opera’, ‘Royal Shakespeare Company’, ‘Bolshoi Ballet’ and many more special screenings and events.
