All the Presidents Men (1976) Cert 18/138 mins – Monday 12 September
Directed by Alan J. Pakula with Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman and Jason Robards.
Based on the book by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, this is a political thriller about these two reporters who researched the bungled 1972 burglary of the Democratic Party HQ at the Watergate apartment complex and what happened as a result.

Keyboard music from the time of Gerrit Dou – Tuesday 27 September
£20 Friends £18 incl. glass of wine; £10 under -18s. Timothy Roberts plays the harpsichord and clavichord with music from the period of Gerrit Dou. 

Visits and Walks

The Mansion House Dutch Paintings: Monday 12 September 11.00 – 12.30
£15, Friends £10. The Mansion House, built between 1739 and 1752, is home to the Lord Mayor and is also home to the Harold Samuel collection of magnificent Dutch and Flemish seventeenth century paintings. We will be guided by one of the City guides from the Guildhall Art Gallery, and the tour will last one and a half hours. Meet: in the Mansion House entrance foyer, Walbrook, London EC4N 8BH at 10.45.

Prudential Art Collection: Wednesday 21 September 17.45 for 18.00
£20, Friends £15. The Prudential Corporation’s art collection includes works from 1848 when the Prudential was founded to the present day. They are all by British artists, or those who have lived and worked in Britain. Curator Tom Tempest-Radford will present the collection after which guests will be free to explore works on site. Meet: Inside the Atrium, Governor’s House, Laurence Pountney Hill, London EC4R 0HH at 17.45.

Bedford Park Walk: Thursday 29 September 14.30–16.30
£10, Friends £8. Often called the first garden city, Bedford Park began in the 1870s. It optimises the best of suburban living, with tree lined streets, attractive arts and crafts houses and community facilities, all within a short commute to central London. Led by an expert guide. Meet: Turnham Green Underground Station.

Lunchtime concert: Wednesday 28 September
1.30-2pm/Christ’s Chapel. Enter from the cloister in Dulwich Picture Gallery. Free lunchtime concerts with talented students from local schools who will both entertain and impress you with their musicianship.
