Coming soon is Animating Lordship Lane. It will include six brand new artist commissions in shop windows along Lorship Lane high street in SE22. In place from Tuesday 30 August – Sunday 11 September, the works is responsive to each business and the local area. The range of artwork media is incredibly diverse, ranging from illustration and suspended installations to willow sculptures and paper automata.
Delivered by Fantasy High Street, the arts company behind the bike-powered cinema screening of Belleville Rendezvous at Nunhead Green in 2014, this new project includes different installations in the windows and shop fronts of Just Williams, Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children, Lush Designs, Roullier White, Karavan Eco and Mrs Robinson. All free to view and enjoy, the art trial will be complimented by a weekend of free family activities including street performance and art workshops on 3-4 September. Saturday 3 – Sunday 4 September: Family Fun Weekend, Animating Lordship Lane
This is a weekend of free family activities taking place on Goose Green and along Lordship Lane high street, from 11am-5pm both days.
