My name is Alice Solantania Saga and I am a Fine Art Photographer. I have just started a new company, The Faerie Tales of Violette. I love angels, faeries & magic story telling.

How long have you lived in the area?
Seven years in April! East Dulwich is wonderful.

What brought you here?
I am Swedish and moved to New York to go to college and ended up staying there for 8 years. I worked for The New York Times Magazine in their fashion department under Amy Spindler and later Stefano Tonchi before heading home to Stockholm to start freelancing as a fashion stylist. London seemed like a wonderful next step!

What do you most value about
the street you live in?
I live in The Gardens and I love it being so peaceful and quiet, plus full of cute cats!

Coffee or tea? Where?
I love the rooibos orange & grapefruit tea and the team at ToastED (who also create delicious soy lattes!).

Cafe, pub or bar?
None. My house because it holds all my inspirations and treasures.

Your favourite place to go for a drink?
I love Franklins! I even used to call it my second home. Rod, the owner, is wonderful!

Where’s your favourite place to walk?
I am addicted to Dulwich Woods!

What is your favourite shop?
It used to be the antique shop off North Cross Road but sadly that one has closed. I have found wonderful treasures in St. Christopher’s Hospice charity shop!!!

And the last thing you bought there?
Some porcelain dolls and art books.

If money was no object…
I would invest in learning plus better equipment in order to create more beautiful things. Probably more travelling. A dream is to give 50% of it away to various charities, for example ‘pencils of promise’.

The book I’m reading at the moment…
MANY! Here are a few: I love “Games Of Thrones”, such adventures and such wonderful characters! A book that has helped me with my artist statement and the vision for “The Faerie Tales of Violette” is the “Start With Why” book by Simon Sinek. For health, a book that has helped me is “Grain Brain” by David Perlmutter. I have too devoured the diaries by/of Anaïs Nin lately.

My secret ambition…
A house full of treasures with a beautiful wild garden outside. To be an constant learner. An art studio where I am creating, creating, creating. A world of Beatrice Potter full of magic every single second of my life. To give value to all the ones whom share our beliefs of The Faerie Tales of Violette. To be able to help the less fortunate through my art. Someone special to share it all with.
