Exhibition Adriaen Van De Velde: Dutch Master of Landscape 12 October 2016 – 15 January 2017 Gallery Film Bar opens at 7pm and screening at 7.30pm. Tickets £9, £7 friends – includes a glass of wine, snacks and film notes. Blow Up (1966) Cert 15/110 mins Monday 14 November Starring David Hemmings and Vanessa Redgrave. After taking pictures in the park, a London photographer is horrified to find an ambiguous image lurking on the edge of the frame. Blow-Up is a British-Italian film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni about a fashion photographer, played by David Hemmings, who believes he has unwittingly captured a murder on film. It was Antonioni’s first entirely English-language film. Special events Christmas Bazaar: Saturday 12 November 10am-5pm at St Barnabas Parish Hall, Dulwich Village. Free entrance. Once again, wonderful local artists and artisans will be selling their beautiful crafts at the Christmas Bazaar – just right for presents. Animating Lordship Lane Art Trail

Coming soon is Animating Lordship Lane.  It will include six brand new artist commissions in shop windows along Lorship Lane high street in SE22. In place from Tuesday 30 August – Sunday 11 September, the works is responsive to each business and the local area. The range of artwork media is incredibly diverse, ranging from illustration and suspended installations to willow sculptures and paper automata. Delivered by Fantasy High Street, the arts company behind the bike-powered cinema screening of Belleville Rendezvous at Nunhead Green in 2014, this new project includes different installations in the windows and shop fronts of Just Williams, Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children, Lush Designs, Roullier White, Karavan Eco and Mrs Robinson. All free to view and enjoy, the art trial will be complimented by a weekend of free family activities including street performance and art workshops on 3-4 September. The 14th Annual Dulwich Charity Lunch

The 14th Dulwich Charity Lunch went with a bang last week raising a fantastic £2,220 for our local charity Link Age Southwark. Local business men and women came together to enjoy their annual Christmas get together at the Palmerston. After ticket sales, the raffle and auction contributed to the final amount. Home & Lifestyle pop-up store launches in Nunhead

This Christmas there’s a new shopping destination in Nunhead; it’s a pop-up Home & Lifestyle Store curated by Aniko Pall and Sophie McNiven that has found its place in much-loved retro furniture shop Papa Bear. Aniko opened Papa Bear just over 2 years ago, selling English and Scandinavian retro furniture to her fashionable fan-base of mid-century lovers. She and Sophie met when Sophie took over the Nunhead Corner Pop-up shop earlier in the year, with her company Sophie Home. A shared love of all things ‘home’ quickly brought these ladies together as friends, and they’re thrilled to now be working on their first shared business venture, selling bold, colourful, contemporary textiles, ceramics, lighting, stationery and gifts against a fitting back-drop of G Plan, Ercol and Ladderax. Their Home & Lifestyle pop-up store launched at the beginning of October and will be open until Christmas Eve.
