I am Sally Brandon and I own Minerva HR Consulting, a boutique consultancy to help local businesses  and individuals with any people needs they might have.  From setting up a department from the very start, one off projects and helping devise your people agenda I am happy to support you and your team as needed. I have lived in the area since I was 5.

What brought you here?

I grew up in East Dulwich so I am a local girl. When me and my husband were looking for a place to raise or family Honor Oak was perfect with the station being close by and also access to lots of green spaces and good schools whilst still being close to my parents.

What do you most value about the area?

The community is lovely both on the road I live on and the local high street.  It is rare I go out and don’t bump into someone I know.  The easy links to London are a bonus as I am always dashing in and out of town with my 3 children who all act and need to get to auditions at short notice.

What one thing would you like to change?

I would love there to be a pharmacy and bakery on the high street.  In the past year we have had a butcher and a greengrocer open in the local area which were the other two I wanted.

Who is the most famous person you have met?

As my children are actors I have met a few famous people including Simon Callow and Idris Elba.  I also know Miles Jupp who’s twins are birthday buddies with my youngest.

Favorite place to go for a drink?

I have to say Two Spoons in Honor Oak Park.  I love their cocktails and Luca also makes a bespoke one for me, and it is. 2 minute walk from my house.

What is your favorite place to eat?

It used to be Le Chardon on Lordship Lane which sadly closed when the owners retired.  With 3 children I don’t get to go out too but I do like The Real Greek, especially the one on the river by The Globe Theatre.

Coffee or Tea?  Where?

Hands down it has to be Two Spoons in Honor Oak Park.  I love their coffee and that they know me so well I don’t even have to order.  My favourite coffee appears in front of me.  It has a great atmosphere and is always welcoming.

Best meal I have ever had?

I think it has to be a small place that I can’t remember the name of in Noosa on the Gold Coast in Australia, closely followed by my mother in laws Full English Breakfast with oat cakes and a cup of tea.

Favourite place to walk

I am not a great one for walking but when I do, I love a stroll around The Horniman or Peckham Rye Park with friends.  I also love walking by the sea.

If money were no object?

I would fix what needs to be mended in our house, support my children in what they want to do, pay off my family & friend’s mortgages, and travel as much as I could with my husband and children exploring the world.

My perfect holiday.

I have always wanted to travel to Bora Bora and relax on the sandy beach reading a good book and swimming in the clear blue sea.
