Monday 21 October
Alleyn’s Holiday Camp – October Half Term (until 1st November)
8am-6pm. We welcome children who are between Year 1 and Year 6 from any school, not just those attending school at Alleyn’s. Please note we are unable to take children attending school in Reception.
Half Term Tennis Camps at Dulwich Lawn Tennis Club (until 1st November)
9am-3pm. Come and join our two-week holiday camps from the 21st October -1st November for children all levels, from 3 to 18 years old.
The October half-term is a great opportunity for children and teens to dive into the amazing world of tennis, have lots of fun and make new friends in a healthy environment. Our camps are the perfect mix of tennis, drills, games and fun. On Thursday 31st October don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume! We will have treats and prizes for the spookiest players!
Get Started with Touch-Typing for Dyslexia – Year 5 and 6
1.30pm-3pm. Bell House is running another touch-typing course during the holidays designed especially for children with dyslexia in Year 5 and 6.
Dulwich Womens Institute Monthly Meeting
7.30pm-9.30pm. Launched in 2018, the Dulwich WI is a supportive and stimulating group for women of all ages and backgrounds. We meet once a month at 57 North Cross Road, SE22 9ET. We would love to meet you and look forward to welcoming you to our group.
Tuesday 22 October
Bach to Baby Family Concert in East Dulwich
10.30am-11.15am. Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.
Weekly Online Breathing Class
7pm-7.40pm. Weekly virtual online breathwork class Join me every Tuesday at 7pm for a 40-minute breathing and relaxation class.
Life Drawing & Painting
7pm-8.30pm. This is an online drawing & painting session conducted via Zoom. Long pose life painting and drawing. A single pose is held for three hours with 5-minute model breaks every 25 minutes.
Socials Runs with DPR
7.30pm-8.30pm. Fantastic local running club. Social runs every Tuesday 7.30pm at Trevor Bailey Sports Ground on the south circular.
Wednesday 23 October
Alleyn’s Football Camp – October Half Term (until 1st November)
9am-3pm. Goose Green Coffee Morning
11am-12.30pm. Goose Green Coffee Morning meets every Wednesday and serves coffee, tea and cake. It’s a great place to meet others from the local community.
The Forest Within (until 9th November)
11am-6pm. After drawing over 500,000 visitors in New York and Los Angeles, Pete M. Wyer’s groundbreaking immersive sound installation The Forest Within is set to make its UK debut. Since 2016, Wyer’s visionary work has mesmerised audiences with its unique blend of choral and natural sounds, creating a truly immersive auditory experience.
Zoom Portraiture @ Dulwich Art Group & School
2pm-5pm. This is now a hybrid session with 15 artists allowed into the studio and also cameras for artists attending through Zoom.

Thursday 24 October
BNI Adventurers
6.30am-8.30am. Part of the award-winning multi-national networking organisation, BNI, Adventurers brings together businesses local to Dulwich with the aim of passing business and keeping money in the local community.
Friday 25 October
The Creative Arts Club – Art for All | Decorative Decoupage Boxes
11am-12.30pm. Decoupage is a decorative art from that has a rich history dating back to the 12th century and involves using a variety of cut papers and glue to enhance objects such as furniture, boxes, frames and more.
Decoupage is a delightful, versatile and truly absorbing medium – no experience is necessary for this, and you will be amazed at how easily you can create a unique and personalised work of art.
Lewisham Underwater Hockey Club
7.30pm-9pm. Try out underwater hockey at Forest Hill pools every Friday evening. We’re a mixed-ability club who play for fun and exercise. Complete beginners welcome.
Saturday 26 October
Dulwich Park parkrun
9am-10am. Free, weekly timed 5k run, jog or walk in Dulwich Park. Every Saturday at 9am promptly starting from Queen Mary’s Gate. Register once and bring your printed barcode.
Peckham Rye Park parkrun
9am-10am. Peckham Rye parkrun is a 3-lap anti-clockwise course, entirely on tarmac is mainly flat and therefore a potential PB course. The start & finish are located close to the Colyton Road park entrance.
The Little Mermaid
2pm & 3.30pm. Spontaneous Productions’ present its 30th original show for families since 2017 – a brand new musical version of the much-loved fairy tale The Little Mermaid adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale by Lavern Archer and Jonathan Kaufman.
African Tree Tales: Treemoot International Storytelling Festival
2pm-4.30pm. On this day of the festival, Ogiek land defender Leonard Mindore and Maguzawa oral historian Kamilu Hassan Hamza will share stories of the indigenous people of Mau Forest in Kenya and Yarmariya Bush in Nigeria.
This event is part of the Treemoot International Storytelling Festival, which celebrates the culture and diversity of the Great North Wood in SE London.
Dulwich Hamlet vs Hashtag United – men

Poets at the Bell House (Open Mic and Art Exhibition)
5pm-8.30pm. Immerse yourself in a night where words and visuals converge at ‘Poets at the Bell House’, a unique event celebrating the synergy between spoken word poetry and visual art.

Sunday 27 October
Brockwell Park Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free 2km fun run for 4–14-year-olds every Sunday in Brockwell Park. Just register on parkrun.com to get a barcode and meet behind the lido at 8:55 for a briefing.
Peckham Rye Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free, weekly, timed run for 4–14-year-olds, to get fit, stay healthy, and have fun! We run 2km every Sunday at 9am, through rain and shine.
The Weekly Horniman Market
10am-3pm. Located on the Bandstand Terrace, stalls sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan bread and cheese, organic meat and delicious street food.
