Food Stories with Rick Stein
7.30pm-8.30pm. Rick Stein is back with a major new BBC Two tv series and book, Rick Stein’s Food Stories, a celebration of the best of British food and the way we eat now.
Rick Stein’s Food Stories is a glorious collection of over 100 new recipes that celebrate the flavours, ingredients and stories of modern Britain. Tick travels every region of the British Isles to include not only traditional favourites but also his twist on new dishes that have become part of our national cuisine like Kubo pork belly adobo, Arros roja, Pnaeer jalfrezi and Chicken katsu curry.
Tuesday 24 September
Weekly Online Breathing Class
7pm-7.40pm. Weekly virtual online breathwork class Join me every Tuesday at 7pm for a 40-minute breathing and relaxation class.
Life Drawing & Painting
7pm-8.30pm. This is an online drawing & painting session conducted via Zoom. Long pose life painting and drawing. A single pose is held for three hours with 5-minute model breaks every 25 minutes.
Socials Runs with DPR
7.30pm-8.30pm. Fantastic local running club. Social runs every Tuesday 7.30pm at Trevor Bailey Sports Ground on the south circular.

Goose Green Coffee Morning
11am-12.30pm. All are welcome to this friendly group where you can enjoy coffee, cake and a chat. Do drop in!
Zoom Portraiture @ Dulwich Art Group & School
2pm-5pm. This is now a hybrid session with 15 artists allowed into the studio and also cameras for artists attending through Zoom.
A Mudlarking Year – Lara Maiklem
7pm-8pm. For over two decades, Lara Maiklem has scoured the banks of the Thames to find objects – lost or discarded – that tell the greatest stories. Now, having propelled mudlarking into the popular consciousness with her debut book Mudlarking, Maiklem returns with A Mudlarking Year. Reflecting on a year of her life searching the foreshore, she reminds us that it’s possible to draw meaning from the most unlikely of places.

BNI Adventurers
6.30am-8.30am. Part of the award-winning multi-national networking organisation, BNI, Adventurers brings together businesses local to Dulwich with the aim of passing business and keeping money in the local community.

Lewisham Underwater Hockey Club
7.30pm-9pm. Try out underwater hockey at Forest Hill pools every Friday evening. We’re a mixed-ability club who play for fun and exercise. Complete beginners welcome.
PHIL BEER, James Eagle, Creeping Jane
7pm-11pm. Phil Beer “plays guitar and fiddle and sings a bit” – his words, not ours! He has been doing this extremely well for over 45 years as a solo artist, a collaborator, and as part of the highly successful Show of Hands.
James Eagle sings unaccompanied songs new and old: war and work, love,
loss and regret. He is a regular at the Goose singaround and his debut
album, After So Many Gone, is now out on Bandcamp
Creeping Jane are Nygel & Sue, who started The Goose Is Out! in 2008 and have been running it ever since. They sing unaccompanied, both in unison and in harmony, mainly songs from the UK.
Saturday 28 September
Dulwich Park parkrun
9am-10am. Free, weekly timed 5k run, jog or walk in Dulwich Park. Every Saturday at 9am promptly starting from Queen Mary’s Gate. Register once and bring your printed barcode.
Peckham Rye Park parkrun
9am-10am. Peckham Rye parkrun is a 3-lap anti-clockwise course, entirely on tarmac is mainly flat and therefore a potential PB course. The start & finish are located close to the Colyton Road park entrance.
Throwing on the wheel for teenagers – a 4-week beginners course for ages 13-17
10am-12pm. Throwing on the Wheel, 4-week course, Beginners, 13–17-year-olds. Cost £160 for four 2-hour sessions.
Artisan Craft & Gift Fayre
10am-4pm. We are super excited to be hosting another Fair at this wonderful location right in the heart of Dulwich Village. We have over 30 amazing individual stalls showcasing their wonderful artisan craft and bespoke gifts including Artwork, candles, organic skincare, crystals, papercraft and lots more!
An event for the whole family, from a treat for the children to something special for a loved one you will find it all under one roof. No tickets needed, just turn up on the day!
Dyslexia Fair 2024: Exploring Dyslexia
10am-4pm. Exploring Dyslexia: Investigating the Overlap with Co-occurring Differences, Uncovering Potential and Achieving Success The annual Bell House Dyslexia Fair is a FREE event bringing together individuals, families and educators to learn more about dyslexia and literacy difficulties in a welcoming, inclusive community setting.
Nunhead Art Trail (and Sunday)
11am-6pm. After a very successful return in 2023, the Nunhead Art Trail is back on the weekend of the 28th/29th September. Artists will open their homes and studios across Nunhead, showing paintings, sculpture, print, photography, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.
Group shows will take place in the Salvation Army Hall, Stuart Road Allotments and at the Anglican Chapel in Nunhead Cemetery. There will be a special exhibition at the Hidden House Gallery, with an opening event on the 27th September from 6 – 9pm – all are welcome. And there’s a free evening of stage performances at the Ivy House, featuring comedy, sound performances and live music from 7:30 – 11pm on Saturday the 28th.
The Little Mermaid (and Sunday)
1pm and 3.30pm. Spontaneous Productions’ present its 30th original show for families since 2017 – a brand new musical version of the much-loved fairy tale The Little Mermaid adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale by Lavern Archer and Jonathan Kaufman.
World Trees and Travellers: Women and the Rights of Trees
2pm-4.30pm. On this special of the festival, award-winning human rights activist and author Laura Angela Collins will tell histories and stories of Irish Travellers and Gypsy women in the Great North Wood. The session will be followed by a woodland workshop activity led by Green Party Councillor Emma Beard.
This event is part of The Treemoot Storytelling Festival a season of storytelling events that celebrates the culture of The Great North Wood in SE London.
Sunday 29 September
Brockwell Park Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free 2km fun run for 4–14-year-olds every Sunday in Brockwell Park. Just register on parkrun.com to get a barcode and meet behind the lido at 8:55 for a briefing.
Peckham Rye Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free, weekly, timed run for 4–14-year-olds, to get fit, stay healthy, and have fun! We run 2km every Sunday at 9am, through rain and shine.
The Weekly Horniman Market
10am-3pm. Located on the Bandstand Terrace, stalls sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan bread and cheese, organic meat and delicious street food
