Monday 29 July

Forest Hill Bowling Club
2pm-5pm. Forest Hill Bowling Club Forest Hill Bowling Club is a private club with a mixed membership of around 60 members. We welcome new members of all ages and abilities.

Tuesday 30 July

Bach to Baby Family Concert in East Dulwich
1030am-11.15am. Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.

Talk & Move Workshop
10.30am-11.30am. Talk & Move is a unique, holistic approach to supporting children’s speech, language and emotional regulation through movement.

In this one-hour workshop you will join in with a variety of fun activities, music and movement whilst simultaneously supporting your child’s awareness of sounds, syllables and rhyme. Phonological awareness is the foundation that underpins children’s pre-literacy skills.

Weekly Online Breathing Class
7pm-7.40pm. Weekly virtual online breathwork class Join me every Tuesday at 7pm for a 40-minute breathing and relaxation class.

Life Drawing & Painting
7pm-8.30pm. This is an online drawing & painting session conducted via Zoom.Long pose life painting and drawing. A single pose held for three hours with 5 minute model breaks every 25 minutes.

Socials Runs with DPR
7.30pm-8.30pm.  Fantastic local running club. Social runs every Tuesday 7.30pm at Trevor Bailey Sports Ground on the south circular.

Wednesday 31 July

Goose Green Coffee Morning
11am-12.30pm.  All are welcome to drop into Goose Green Coffee Morning, a great place to meet others from your local community. We also have lovely cakes and good coffee plus other hot drinks.

Zoom Portraiture @ Dulwich Art Group & School
2pm-5pm.  This is now a hybrid session with 15 artists allowed into the studio and also cameras for artists attending through Zoom.

Thursday 1 August

BNI Adventurers
6.30am-8.30am.  Part of the award-winning multi-national networking organisation, BNI, Adventurers brings together businesses local to Dulwich with the aim of passing business and keeping money in the local community.

Peter Morris Final Show – Jeannie Avent Gallery until 13th August
My father was a talented and prolific artist. He passed away on September and we, his family, have decided to show his work at the Jeannie Avent Gallery from the 1st August.

Friday 2 August

The Creative Arts Club: Paper Marbling – Holiday Special
10am-12pm.

Try your hand at the ancient art of paper marbling this month! Sarah will guide you through some simple and fun marbling techniques that you can easily use at home.

The Japanese art of “Suminagashi” or “Ink Floating” dates back as early as the 12th Century. The art of marbling eventually travelled to Europe through Persia and Turkey. It became so popular in Britain in the C19th that Marble Guilds were set up, each perfecting their own formulas and techniques which Master Marblers took great pains to keep secret. No secrets here at Bell House though, come along and experiment with some simple ways to create beautiful unique marble designs on a variety of different papers.

Lewisham Underwater Hockey Club
7.30pm-9pm. Try out underwater hockey at Forest Hill pools every Friday evening. We’re a mixed-ability club who play for fun and exercise. Complete beginners welcome.

Saturday 3 August

Dulwich Park parkrun
9am-10am. Free, weekly timed 5k run, jog or walk in Dulwich Park. Every Saturday at 9am promptly starting from Queen Mary’s Gate. Register once and bring your printed barcode.

Peckham Rye Park parkrun
9am-10am. Peckham Rye parkrun is a 3-lap anti-clockwise course, entirely on tarmac is mainly flat and therefore a potential PB course.  The start & finish are located close to the Colyton Road entrance of the park.

Sunday 4 August

Brockwell Park Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free 2km fun run for 4–14-year-olds every Sunday in Brockwell Park. Just register on parkrun.com to get a barcode and meet behind the lido at 8:55 for a briefing.

Peckham Rye Junior parkrun
9am-9.30am. A free, weekly, timed run for 4–14-year-olds, to get fit, stay healthy, and have fun! We run 2km every Sunday at 9am, through rain and shine.

The Weekly Horniman Market
10am-3pm. Located on the Bandstand Terrace, stalls sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan bread and cheese, organic meat and delicious street food.
