Hot N Juicy Shrimp LDN Launches Free Summer Meals for Kids – A Personal Mission to Support Local Families
This summer, Hot N Juicy Shrimp LDN will give back to the communities that helped build it with the launch of the Summer Lunch Club, offering free hot meals to children every Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 5pm during the entire six-week school holiday, starting 24 July 2025.
Founder Samantha Pascal, who was raised by a single mother in London, says the initiative is rooted in lived experience.
“I grew up in a single-parent home, and while my mum did everything to make sure we were okay, I now see just how much she carried on her own. We didn’t go without, but I know something like this – a free, hot meal, would have taken one thing off her plate. That’s what this is about: offering families one less thing to worry about during the long summer break.”
Meals will include child-friendly dishes like fish fingers, chicken or veggie nuggets, fries, corn on the cob, and a drink, served warm and completely free, with no purchase required.
The Dulwich site is proudly supported by food supplier Brakes, who partnered to help extend the programme’s reach.
Over 600 meals are expected to be given away this summer- no strings attached.
“This isn’t a publicity stunt. It’s what community looks like to us,” Samantha adds. “We’re not just here to serve food, we’re here to show up.”
