Local artist, Louise Ward, will be bringing her popular series of Still Life photographs to the Copper Beech Cafe in March. The exhibition will include new work and established favourites.

Louise makes unique works on wood, copper and pewter, and Limited Edition Prints on archival papers, which explore the concept of Time.

‘Still’ focuses on Louise’s inquiry into the genre of still life painting and the boundaries and overlaps between photography and painting as Art forms. She is influenced by her research into Dutch and Spanish 17th century Still Life Painting. The subjects in her photographs are often food , flowers and the micro world of insects and other small creatures which are carefully selected and juxtaposed within the compositions.

Louise has lived in East Dulwich for many years and takes part in the Artists Open House event in May each year.
