Changes have been made to the Southwark Business Excellence Awards programme due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19.

Organisers of the awards, in association with LSBU, are offering flexibility to businesses on this year’s entry deadline by extending it to 14 April. The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony has been postponed from Thursday 25 June until Wednesday 7 October 2020.

Head of Awards, Julie Leggatt, said: “We understand this is a very difficult time for everyone both professionally and personally, so entering the awards may not be the highest priority right now so we have extended the deadline to support businesses at a future date.

“Our thoughts go out to anyone who has been personally impacted, and we hope that you and your families are safe and well.”

Alison May, Apprenticeship Manager at London South Bank University, (LSBU) said:

“London South Bank University is a University that prides itself on serving South London students and local businesses. Southwark is our home and Southwark Business Awards presents us with a fantastic opportunity to support and celebrate the diversity and success of local businesses.”

The awards are organised by White Label in partnership with Southwark Chamber of Commerce and Southwark Council. LSBU is headline sponsor and British Land, Elephant & Castle Town Centre Regeneration, Great Portland Estates, Landsec and Lendlease are sponsoring ‘Women in Business’, ‘Best Charity or Social Enterprise’, Contribution to the Community’, ‘Best Employer’ and ‘Independent Retailer’, respectively.

If you would like the opportunity to discuss your application or have any questions about entering additional categories, our Awards team is available for calls, webinars and advice. Alternatively, please email: info@southwarkawards.co.uk
