in uniform!

From April, Musical Bumps, who deliver outstanding music classes for babies, young children and nurseries, will be running classes in Dulwich and surrounding areas. From new-born to pre-school, these fun, educational classes will be held at St. George and St Michael’s Church, Forest Hill on a Monday and at All Saints Church, West Dulwich on a Tuesday.

Musical Bumps classes offer children and their carers traditional songs and lullabies with musical games, puppets and percussion from around the world. At Musical Bumps, babies and children also develop and practise non-musical skills including turn-taking, sharing, listening and joining in. Experts agree that music benefits all areas of learning and that children who attend music classes from an early age have increased confidence, greater language skills and are flexible adaptable learners by the time they start school.

Musical Bumps teachers also understand that toddlers cannot sit still for long so incorporate lots of different activities as well as a break for refreshments into their classes enabling carers time for a chat as well!

Classes in this area are being delivered by Katherine Corrigan who has been involved with music for most of her life from teaching in schools to performing in choirs. Katherine states, “As a mum and teacher, I understand how important it is to have fun whilst you learn. Musical Bumps classes are the perfect way to learn and share new skills together and I am thrilled to be offering these classes in this area.”

Katherine is looking forward to meeting lots of new families and is offering free trial sessions. Anyone interested should contact her on 07599 628 542 or Dulwich.foresthill@musicalbumps.com
