Pavilion Lates

Enjoy The Colour Palace after hours with a monthly Late, each exploring a different concept. Fridays, 6-10pm. Free, but ticketed. Tickets will be released one month before each Late.

The Age of Innovation – Friday 23 August
Immerse yourself in the radical world of the Grosvenor School and contend with the innovations of 1920s and 30s London. Try your hand at their printmaking process, create an underground poster in tribute to your favourite station, become attuned to all of your senses in an Art Model Collective drawing class, and of course enjoy our current exhibition Cutting Edge: Modern British Printing. Confirmed highlights include:

Pavilion Art Tasters

Bring friends and soak up the atmosphere with drop-in artmaking and drinks in The Colour Palace. Fridays in the Pavilion, 6–10pm. Tickets £5 for 5 July-16 August; £12 for Neon Naked on 30 August

Colour and Shape – Friday 2 August
Create your own mixed-media response to the architecture surrounding you with artist Lucy Ribeiro.

Craft Couture – Friday 9 August
Create your own paper bracelets, belts, necklaces and more, with artist Ilga Leimanis.

Soane Style – Friday 16 August
Design your own contemporary facade for our Victorian architecture with artist Sahra Hersi.

Neon Naked – Friday 30 August
Life Drawing with a twist from Neon Naked. Sketch life models covered in UV paint patterns inspired by The Colour Palace using pencil, charcoal and neon pastel.

Salons

Engaging discussions on art, architecture, culture and identity against the backdrop of The Colour Palace.

Culture, Community & Inclusivity – Thursday 25 July, 7pm
How can art and design shape the experiences of our communities? And how can creatives make the arts more inclusive for a multicultural society? Designers Yinka Ilori and Morag Myerscough, and Sereena Abbassi of M&C Saatchi, explore these questions. Tickets £10.

The Colour Contest – Thursday 15 August, 7.30pm
Join us as we discuss the emotional significance of colour with Professor Carol Mavor, Dr Nuala Morse, Kassia St Clair, and our Director, Jennifer Scott. Expect a lively debate as each panellist makes the case for the ‘best’ colour. Tickets £10

Supper Clubs

From food with a conscience to some of London’s biggest chefs, enjoy a meal in the vibrantsurroundings of The Colour Palace.

Ollie Dabbous – Wednesday 18 September – Tickets £80
Michelin-star chef Ollie Dabbous has worked with chefs from The Gathered Table to deliver his five-course tasting menu to The Colour Palace for a stunning dining experience, taking the very best ingredients and highlighting them in an organic, restrained way.

Stories on our Plate – Wednesday 31 July – Tickets £45
Stories On Our Plate (Soop) and chef Suzanne James present a seasonal vegan menu atThe Colour Palace. Soop works with chefs from refugee and migrant backgrounds to run storytelling supperclubs, championing the power of food to unite people from around the world.

Neil Rankin – Wednesday 14 August – Tickets £60
Neil Rankin pioneered London’s high-end barbecue scene and is well known for his use of bold, global flavours. Join The Gathered Table chefs as they bring his unique take on BBQ cuisine to The Colour Palace.

Fat Macy’s – Thursday 22 August – Tickets £45
Fat Macy’s supports young people living in temporary accommodation by providing cheftraining. Trainees work with professionals who help them make the journey from hostel to home. For this supper club, trainees will present a delicious three-course meal and cocktails made from British seasonal produce.

Families

Art in the Pavilion
Every Wednesday in August, 2-4pm, £3 per child. Suitable for children aged 4-12 years. Celebrate the summer holidays with art-making in the ‘Colour Palace’ and grounds! Taking inspiration from the Pavilion’s colours, patterns, shapes and lines, we will be making suncatchers, sculptures and much more. Make something new each week with us!

Art Sundays
2-4pm every Sunday, Free. Suitable for children aged 4-12 years.
Sunday is art day! Come along to the Gallery every Sunday for a drop-in family art-making workshop. Each week there will be a different theme for you to explore and something for you to take away as a memento. This season we will be exploring colour, shape, printmaking, our new Pavilion, and crocodiles!

Art Camp: Shape Sculptors
6-8 August (6-9yrs)
13-15 August (10-12yrs)
10am-4pm each day, £90 for three days
Over three days experiment with different materials and processes to create a sculptureinspired by the Pavilion. At the end of the week, you’ll bring your creations together to makea pop-up sculpture trail, complete with posters and maps designed by you!

Art Camp: Colour Crafters
20-22 August (6-9yrs)
27-29 August (10-12yrs)
10am-4pm each day, £90 for three days
Explore our Pavilion by experimenting with combining different colours, designs and materials. Over three days enjoy exploring different ways of printing, sculpting and book- making. At the end of the week come away with lots of new skills and creations.

Family Festival: Colourfest
4 August, free, but ticketed
All ages welcome.
Kick off summer with a celebration of colour for all the family to enjoy! Spend a day at the Gallery exploring colour in lots of different ways. Join us for rainbow storytelling, printmaking, drawing, building, and be the first to try our new Gallery family trail.

Yoga

Pavilion Yoga & Cutting Edge
11 August, 1 September
8.30am registration, 8.45-9.45 yoga session followed by exhibition view
£25; £12 Friends including yoga session, entry to the exhibition and a free tea or coffee from the Gallery Café. Teachers from the British Wheel of Yoga will lead a specially crafted practice designed to stretch, strengthen and energise. Taking place inside The Colour Palace, it will focus on specific themes of identity, colour and line. Suitable for all levels except complete beginners.
