Wild Child is London’s newest boutique children’s festival – by mums and dads, for the whole family. Bringing together the very best in arts activities, workshops and performances by a wide range of companies, many founded by London mums and dads themselves, Wild Child offers an alternative to larger, commercial, brand heavy festivals. Some event highlights include:

  • Family dance parties with Bebop Baby’s very best Hip Hop beats, heavy funk, rare soul, dusty old jazz, obscuro funk and psych
  • Trapeze, Tightrope and Juggling skills with the acrobatic Circus Dreams – even for the under 5s!
  • Children as young as three can have a go at coding with Mama Codes in the STEAM Lab – introducing kids to coding through song, rhyme and storytelling, children of all backgrounds and learning styles are able to learn to code creatively with confidence, making full use of their bountiful imagination
  • Immersive experiences including a Dinosaur Land where you can see baby dinosaurs hatching and a Magical Unicorn Meadow where little ones can have fun and games becoming experts in Unicornology

Wild Child is founded by London mum and family arts producer Hayley Byfield, who wanted to create a children’s festival in the capital which prioritized arts and culture without being affiliated to big brands or television characters. She says “I wanted to bring together all the amazing unique creative workshops, performances and activities for families together in one exciting space. I’ve found that many great activities have actually been developed by parents who have found ways to share their creative talents with their own children and then developed businesses from this in areas like Circus, Music, Technology or arts and crafts. These parents are obviously extremely skilled in engaging children so these activities are the very best you can find. Wild Child Festival is also an opportunity for London families to enjoy the whole outdoor festival experience right here in the capital.”
