Coming to Dulwich next month are Alexander McCall Smith, Judith Kerr, Robert Harris, Adam Kay & Hardeep Singh Kohli and Salley Vickers.

Alexander McCall Smith: Tuesday 3rd October

7.30pm. Author of No 1 Ladies Detective Agency comes to Dulwich to talk about his new book in this series. Alexander will be in conversation with Peter Guttridge as he discusses the eagerly anticipated new Isabel Dalhousie novel, A Distant View of Everything, and catch up with little Bertie and the cast of 44 Scotland Street in The Bertie Project.

Judith Kerr: Sunday 15th October

3pm. Village Books in Dulwich Village are thrilled to host an event with Judith Kerr. Best known for writing The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Judith will be in conversation with Sunday Times Children’s Literary Critic, Nicolette Jones to talk about her new picture book, Katinka’s Tail.

Robert Harris: Monday 16th October

7.30pm. Join Village Books and hear Robert Harris talk about his writing and his new book Munich. Munich is set over the four days of the Munich Conference, and is filled with the real-life characters and events of the time. Robert will be in conversation with Peter Guttridge to discuss his writing and how he builds plots based on real life events.

Adam Kay and Sardeep Singh Kohli: Wednesday 18th October

7.30pm. Village Books is thrilled to host comedian and writer Adam Kay in conversation with Hardeep Singh Kohli as they discuss Adam’s career as a junior doctor in the NHS. Celebrating his memoir This Is Going To Hurt this is sure to be a fun, entertaining and hilarious evening.

Salley Vickers: Thursday 19th October

7pm. Village Books in Dulwich Village invites you to join us for an evening with Salley Vickers. Salley Vickers first novel Miss Garnet’s Angel was an international word of mouth bestseller, and she has since established herself as one of our leading novelists. Salley’s new novel, Cousins is a subtle novel weaving darkness and light which takes us from the outbreak of World War Two to the present day, exploring the recurrence of tragedy, the nature of transgression, and the limits of morality and love.
