Christmas Fairs are a great way to get into the festive spirit, pick up some great stocking fillers and support local businesses. Many of the our local Christmas fairs are on Saturday 5th December this year and here’s some our favourites:

Saturday 5 December

East Dulwich Christmas Cracker
East Dulwich will host a street festival with all the trimmings when the Christmas Cracker returns on Saturday 5 December. Now in its fourth year, the 2015 East Dulwich Christmas Cracker will offer even more to get everyone in the festive spirit. This year’s precise programme is currently in creation but it will be sure to include an exciting array of entertainment, activities and promotions for everyone. The event in East Dulwich will take place on Lordship Lane and North Cross Road between 10am and 5pm. So come along and join in the festive fun!

Fairlawn Christmas Fair
Festive fun in Forest Hill from 12-3pm. Santas Grotto, fun games & crafts for kids, special and unique Christmas gifts, hot food, warming drinks, cakes & home produce, tombolas, raffle with great prizes from local businesses and live music. Christmas Festival, St Christopher’s Hospice
11am to 3pm. St Christopher’s Hospice, 51-59 Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, SE26 6DZ. Enjoy mulled wine and mince pies whilst browsing an impressive selection of stalls with a wonderful range of handmade gifts and produce from local sellers, plus fun activities for all the family. Adults £1 and kids go free. For more information please contact Leo at l.thon@stchristophers.org.uk or call 020 8768 4570

Music at Christmas Fair

Herne Hill Christmas Fair
11am – 5pm. Herne Hill’s annual Christmas extravaganza is sure to get your sleigh bells ringing.  This year’s fair features live music amid haystacks and mulled wine,  an enchanting (and free!) Santa’s grotto, plus over 80 stalls from local small businesses selling quirky Christmas gifts. More info at www.hernehillforum.org.uk. How to get here: Trains to Herne Hill run from Victoria (9 mins), Blackfriars and City Thameslink (11 mins). Sydenham Gardens Christmas Fair
11-3pm.  28a Wynell Rd, SE232LW.  £1 entry, 50p Concessions. Children’s activities, Christmas Crafts, a Festive Food tent, stall selling our home-grown/made produce including chutney, jam, Christmas Hampers and much more!  It’s all in aid of Sydenham Garden, helping people recover from mental ill-health.

Goodrich Primary School Winter Fair
Join us on Saturday 5th December from 2pm-5pm for Goodrich’s annual Winter Fair. Meet Santa, buy your Christmas tree, Christmas wreaths,meet real life huskies and enjoy live music from the fabulous Goodrich Choir. We have bouncy castles ,reindeer rodeo ,brilliant games with lots of prizes to be won and a treasure hunt. There will also be mulled wine, gorgeous cakes and hot dogs so please do come along if you can. Entrance is £1 for adults and kids come in free.

Bessemer Grange Primary School Winter Fair
Festive fun with a Snowboard Simulator and Rodeo Reindeer at this years Bessemer Grange Primary School Winter Fair. The main attraction at this year’s Bessemer Grange Primary School Winter Fair will be a snowboard simulator and a rodeo reindeer. The fair will also have festive food and drink (including mulled wine), Santa’s Grotto, a photo booth, lots of Christmas-themed games, handicraft stalls and a raffle with a top prize of an iPad Mini.
