There are plenty of things to do this summer with your children. Here are just a few of the workshops and clubs happening in Dulwich this month.

Whippersnappers Inclusive Play scheme
Monday 30th July – Friday 17th August

Brockwell Lido in Herne Hill and College Lodge in Dulwich Park. Hours 10am to 5pm, with additional hours for working parents (9am to 10am and/or 5pm to 6pm with an additional cost). Sessions cost £25 – £30 a day depending on number of days booked.

Nimble Arts @ Goodrich Primary School

Creative activities for 4-11 year olds! Join every day, or just pick the days that work for you – every single day is different so you’ll never do the same thing twice!

Nimble Arts is a locally run, arts-focussed organisation, with high quality, inclusive and creative artistic experiences for everyone at the core of everything they do! The Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy
Monday 3oth July – Friday 3rd August

9.30am – 4.30pm. Come along and have some fun with cricket. Let our coaches develop your game whether you are just starting out or playing district cricket. Age 5-16 years old. We offer early drop off at Dulwich College which is at 8:30am and late collection at 5:30pm, charged at £6 per day. Football Magic
Now until 31st August (split up into day courses)

9.30am-3.30pm, extended hours 8.30am-4.30pm. Dulwich Sports Ground, Please enter via small pedestrian gate bottom of Gallery Road, Dulwich Village, SE21 7AB. Our holiday football schools are dedicated to teaching children from the age of 5 to 12 years old. From £17.50 per day.

Holliday courses consist of lots of technical drills and all holiday football camps involve many fun football related games such as Football Golf, Football Cricket, Assault Courses, Dodge Ball to name but a few. Every participant will go away with a special Football Magic certificate or gift at the end of the course. All participants must bring a packed lunch, plenty of fluid, change of clothes, appropriate footwear (moulded boots or trainers) and wear shin pads.

Write Sparks – Summer Courses
Monday 13th- Wednesday 15th August: Debating Club!

Moon Lane Books, 300 Stanstead Road, SE23 1DE. 10:00-12:00 each day. 9-13 year olds. £90 (including a £5 donation to The Red Box Project SE London, who are working to eliminate period poverty for girls in our local schools). We will be debating a wide range of topics- from the serious to the silly, from the state of our world to surreal and philosophical questions! We’ll be debating, playing games and developing our creative writing skills.

Monday 20th- Wednesday 22nd August: Detective Camp!

Moon Lane Books, 300 Stanstead Road, SE23 1DE. 10:00-12:00 each day. 9-13 year olds. £90 (including a £5 donation to The Red Box Project SE London, who are working to eliminate period poverty for girls in our local schools). We’ll be investigating a mystery; analysing evidence, conducting interviews, developing theories and writing exciting detective fiction!

Please remember that the advertised age limits are always just a guide. They are flexible, so please don’t worry if your child is a little younger or older than the stated age range! For every class, course or event we have subsidised places available- please do ask for more details.

Art Award Workshop for Young People

If you are aged 14-19, from the 6-10 August the Horniman is offering you an exciting opportunity to participate in a week long programme of creative workshops while working towards a Level 1 accredited Bronze Arts Award. Alongside the organisation ‘Tiger Monkey UK’, each day you will explore the Museum, and get creative using mediums such as video, sculpture, radio, drawing and painting. You do not need any previous arts experience; this is your opportunity to get inspired, learn new skills and go on a creative journey.

  • 6-10 August, 10am-4pm. Completely free with lunch and travel expenses included.
  • This opportunity is open to anyone who is interested.
