We are delighted to let you know that Link Age Southwark are participating in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017. This is an exciting opportunity to double the value of your donation to Link Age Southwark.
The challenge runs from midday Tuesday 28th November to midday Tuesday 5th December.
This year, Link Age Southwark are raising money for transport to their annual Christmas Party and activity groups in the coming months. Transport is an invaluable service for their older members, enabling them to get out of the house more and stay connected to their local community.
This is May. May is 99 and grew up in Bermondsey. She sadly lost her husband when she was 65 and her son lives in Australia. A volunteer driver brings May to Link Age Southwark’s bridge and lunch group. She says “I joined Link Age Southwark when I was 85. I was lonely and bored but by going to the groups I’ve met some wonderful friendly people. I feel extremely lucky and I’m very grateful to Link Age Southwark for bringin joy to my life.” The money raised through the Big Give will allow us to provide transport to more of our older members like May.
