Cuong has worked in East Dulwich as a Dental Technologist for 22 years but has 26 years experience in the industry. He also lectures and presents on composite work in Harley Street to Post Graduates. CQC awarded Cuong to practice dentistry with on-site laboratory in May 2016.

What brought you here?
The vibrant High Street with it’s friendly people. There’s a good sense of community here.
What has changed most during that time?
More and more families moving here, it’s evolved into what the locals call ‘Nappy Valley’
What’s the one thing you couldn’t do without?
I could not live without the amazing choice of local independent shops and businesses on my doorstep.
Do you know your neighbours?
The neighborhood is not the same without John Alan, who was my local florist. He lost the fight to cancer.
The most famous person you’ve seen or met?
Rosa Hoskins-Holt who is Bob Hoskins daughter, she is one of my patient cases.
Describe your perfect weekend
Walking through North Cross Road in the glorious sunshine, eating lots of different street foods on offer, trip to the Horniman museum or Peckham Rye park with my kids and trip to the cinema.
Where are you likely to be found on Saturday?
Spent with family, either at Peckham Rye park or Dulwich Village for food and drink
Where is your favourite place to eat?
The Brickhouse Bakery, it’s a great space for families and very convenient as it’s across the road from me.
The best meal I’ve ever had
My homemade crab and tiger prawn linguine. I have to use fresh ingredients from Moxtons, Cheeseblock and SMB.
The best kept secret…
is LDentec, people don’t realise we have a dental surgery upstairs. We are a new dental surgery with a 22 year old established dental laboratory on-site.
When I want to relax…
I practice Wing Chun, a southern Chinese martial arts with my friends.
