Horniman Museum and Gardens – May events

Horniman Butterfly House
10am-5pm March to October

Last admission 30 minutes before closing. See the website for seasonal opening times. Get up close with hundreds of beautiful butterflies in a tropical indoor garden. The specially-planted habitat is the perfect place to experience free-flying butterflies and discover amazing facts about the life-cycle and behaviour of these fascinating creatures.

Tickets: Adult £6, Child £6, Family (2 adults and 2 children) £15

Dawn Chorus Walk
Saturday 5 May, 
5-7am
Experience the many bird songs that make up the dawn chorus on an early morning tour of the Horniman Gardens. Ornithologist David Darrell-Lambert will help you to identify the birds as you hear them. Hot drink and a pastry included. Suitable for ages 10+. Tickets: Child £5, Adult £8

Under the Sea Late
Thursday 17 May, 6.30-9.30pm
Immerse yourself in all things under the sea as our Aquarium takes centre stage for this special evening event inspired by International Year of the Reef. Part of Museums at Night. Over 18’s. Tickets £5. Check the website www.horniman.ac.uk for ticketing information
