Mery Wives Poster proof3

Sir John Falstaff, an errant knight, arrives in Windsor keen to swell his dwindling coffers by seducing not one but two wealthy matrons of the town, Mistresses Ford and Page.  However, he reckons without the friends comparing his letters and coming up with a plan to take their revenge.  Add to that a jealous husband, a host of unsuitable suitors for the hand of Anne Page and the attentions of everyone’s go-between, Mistress Quickly, and mayhem quickly ensues.

Marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death and continuing our relationship with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Open Stages programme, The Dulwich Players are delighted to bring the Bard, once again, to the beautiful grounds of the Dulwich Picture Gallery and to the wonderful setting of the American Gardens in Dulwich Park. Bring a chair or a rug (and an umbrella or sunscreen!) and sit back and watch the madness unfold. Refreshments will be available to purchase before and during the performances.
