The Dulwich Festival Fair on Goose Green, now in its twelfth year, is always a highlight of the Festival. Bringing together a selection of the best craftspeople, designers, independent shops, family fun, local bars and food stalls, there is plenty to entertain the family. Activities and entertainment from 11am to 4pm, from a free bouncy castle, face painting and badge-making for children to the East Dulwich Tavern beer tent, delicious food stalls, live music and donkey rides. Appearing this year on The Goose is Out! stage are Joe Wilkes, Pepper and Shepherd, The Indi Souls and John McClean and the Clan. Live music starts at midday.

In recent years Dulwich has become well-known for its street art. In 2012-2013, Ingrid Beazley invited over twenty of the world’s leading street artists to the Dulwich Picture Gallery to look at the Baroque paintings and reinterpret them in their own style around Dulwich, creating the Dulwich Outdoor Gallery. Amanda Greatorex will be leading a two-hour Street Art Walk at 2pm to take walkers on a journey to see some of these works and the paintings that inspired them. Tickets are limited so booking is essential.

Don’t forget day 2 of the Artists’ Open House!

Peter Wright, Director of Music at Southwark Cathedral, will be playing the restored George England organ in Christ’s Chapel Dulwich at 7.45pm. Relax to the sounds of Georg Muffat, JS Bach, Claude Balbastre, César Franck and Marcel Dupré at the end of a busy day.
